In short
Yoodli has a free Starter plan capped at 5 lifetime sessions, then paid plans from $8 per month billed annually (Pro, up to 10 roleplays per week) or $20 per month billed annually (Advanced, unlimited), with no refunds on cancellation. MockWise gives 5 free credits with no card, then sells one-time credit packs from $9 that never expire. The key difference: Yoodli is a subscription speaking coach for interviews, presentations and pitches, while MockWise is built only for rehearsing job interviews. Verdict: if you are preparing for a specific interview and do not want a yearly commitment, start with MockWise; if you want a long-term speaking coach for presentations and pitches as well as interviews, Yoodli is built for that and is cheap on an annual plan.
Prices read on October 28, 2026 from each vendor's official pages: yoodli.ai/pricing, the Yoodli language localization overview, the Yoodli FAQ and mockwise.io/pricing. Prices change; check both pages before you buy.
How we compared
We are MockWise, so read this page knowing who wrote it. To keep it useful anyway, we followed three rules.
First, every price, limit and feature attributed to Yoodli comes from Yoodli's own website or help center, read on the date above. When a point was not stated clearly on both sides, we left it out of the table rather than guess. We did not use third-party review sites or price trackers.
Second, we compared what matters to someone preparing for a job interview:
- What it costs to start, and whether you are signing up for a subscription
- What you can do for free, and how far the free tier goes
- Whether you practice out loud with an AI that speaks back
- What the tool covers besides interviews
- Languages, feedback, billing and refunds
Third, we include a section on where Yoodli is the better choice. It is a different product with real strengths, and some readers should pick it.
Why people look for an alternative to Yoodli
Searches for a Yoodli alternative usually come from candidates with an interview coming up, and the reasons are mostly about how Yoodli is billed rather than how it works.
The free tier is small and does not refill. The Starter plan gives 5 lifetime sessions. That is enough to see how Yoodli works, but not enough to prepare for several interviews, and it does not reset each month.
The low prices assume a yearly plan. Pro is listed at $8 per month and Advanced at $20 per month, both billed annually. At those rates you pay for a full year upfront, which means $96 for Pro or $240 for Advanced. The pricing page also offers monthly billing and marks the annual option as saving 40%, but it does not print the monthly prices, so check them on the page before you choose.
Pro has a weekly cap. Pro allows up to 10 roleplays per week, and interview sessions count as roleplays. If you want to cram before an interview, the cap or the move to Advanced matters.
There are no refunds. The pricing page states that Yoodli does not offer refunds on cancellation. Cancelling stops the renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. If you buy a year and land the job in three weeks, the rest of the year stays paid.
It covers more than interviews. Yoodli's individual plans cover interview prep, public speaking and pitch practice. That is a strength for some people, and more than others need when their only goal is the interview on Thursday.
None of this makes Yoodli a bad product. It is priced for people who want a speaking coach over months, not for a short burst of interview preparation.

Where Yoodli is the better choice
There are real reasons to pick Yoodli over MockWise.
- You want a speaking coach, not only an interview simulator. Yoodli's individual plans cover public speaking and pitch practice alongside interview prep. If you also present to clients or pitch investors, one Yoodli plan covers all of it. MockWise only does job interviews.
- You will practice a lot over a long period. Advanced, at $20 per month billed annually, includes unlimited roleplays. If you practice many times a week for months, that can cost less than buying credits. MockWise charges per session.
- Your employer may pay for it. Yoodli's pricing page says the Advanced plan supports reimbursement as a professional development benefit.
- You need a language MockWise does not cover. Yoodli's help center lists 29 language options, including Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Portuguese. MockWise runs resume-based interviews in five languages.
- You want feedback on your everyday calls. Yoodli's FAQ says it can be used with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex, and that in private mode it records only you. MockWise only works inside its own practice sessions.
Where MockWise is the better choice
- You have an interview coming up and want to prepare now. No yearly plan, no weekly cap to plan around. Buy a pack from $9, practice as much as your credits allow, and stop when the interview is done.
- You do not want a subscription. MockWise sells one-time packs. Nothing renews, and credits never expire, so leftover credits still work for your next job search.
- You want to try real practice for free first. 5 credits at signup, no credit card, and resume analysis costs nothing. See free mock interview.
- You want an interview built from your own resume. MockWise reads your resume and builds an interview around your real roles and experience. Creating it costs 3 credits, and each new session on it costs 1. See mock interview with your resume.
- You want an interviewer that pushes back. You speak your answers, and the AI interviewer asks follow-up questions when an answer is thin, the way a real hiring manager does.
- You want scores you can compare from one attempt to the next. Every answer is scored on structure, clarity and impact, so you can see whether the retake was actually better.
- You want to prepare the salary conversation too. MockWise has a dedicated salary negotiation module next to the HR and behavioral and technical modules. See salary negotiation practice.
What MockWise does not do: it does not coach presentations or pitches, it does not analyze your everyday calls, it does not offer 29 languages, and it cannot guarantee you get the job. No practice tool can.
Which one should you choose?
- If you have a job interview in the next few weeks and want to rehearse it out loud without a subscription: take MockWise.
- If you want to try interview practice for free before spending anything: both have a free tier, 5 lifetime sessions on Yoodli and 5 credits with no card on MockWise, so try the one that fits your timeline.
- If you want practice built from your own resume and roles: take MockWise.
- If you want to prepare the salary negotiation as well as the interview: take MockWise.
- If you also want to improve presentations, pitches or how you speak on calls: take Yoodli.
- If you will practice several times a week for many months: Yoodli Advanced on an annual plan can be the better deal.
- If you need to practice in a language outside English, French, Spanish, German and Italian: take Yoodli.
The main question is time. A speaking coach you keep for a year and an interview simulator you use for two weeks are different purchases. Pick the one that matches how long you expect to need it.
